FREMONT, CA: IBM announces that it will be working with Diabetizer, a healthcare solution provider, to leverage IBM’s open Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) Bluemix to develop and deploy cloud based platform myDIABETIZER for diabetes patients residing anywhere in the world.

With the help of Bluemix – powered by cloud platform from an IBM subsidiary SoftLayer – the Diabetizer’s app will provide access and combine diabetes patients’ health data including nutrition and blood sugar from multiple devices anywhere in the world. The app helps patients control their blood sugar at accurate levels by applying advanced analytics. It liberates patients from the struggles they face from handwritten plans and blood sugar logs, guessed biometric data and manual as well as inaccurate estimates at dosage amounts and times.

“Combining this centralized data with powerful analytics, we’re giving the millions of diabetes sufferers around the world the opportunity for greater mobility, more accurate treatment and more freedom from constant calculations and data logging,” says Robin Hrassnigg, Diabetizer’s founder & MD, Diabetizer.

myDIABETIZER interconnects mobile and web interfaces seamlessly with flexibility and precision of data for patients. The app will have feature centralized mobile portal access that simplifies health records and doctor-patient conversations. It can also connect with Internet of Things (IoT) to integrate biometric data from wearable devices. The app will give the overall insight on diabetic’s health by analyzing physical activity along with blood sugar levels.
