FREMONT, CA: In an announcement made, Mikroscan Technologies, Inc., a real time telepathology and microscopy solution provider has publicized its partnership with XIFIN, Inc., the healthcare cloud computing company to enhance, upgrade and provide a seamless healthcare diagnosis in the digital pathology space.

This collaboration will enable pathologists across the globe to exchange medical images, clinical data, and other patient related information to encourage a combined process of patient and health care. “Our partnership with XIFIN expands pathologists’ reach by providing image content for XIFIN’s ProNet consultation network, facilitating multiple opinions for complex cases that may require geographically remote expert consultation,” said Mikroscan Chairman Gary W. Pace.

To enable pathologists interact and share the information with other professionals, Mikroscan integrated its SL5 dual mode real-time microscopy and Whole-slide imaging instrument with XIFIN ProNet, a cross globe physician collaboration network. “This partnership will help healthcare providers distribute much needed access to medical care in even the most remote regions of the globe,” remarked Pace. This will help the pathologists to remain connected with other pathologists irrespective of the global boundaries.

Real time telepathology is driven by Mikroscan’s SL5 and Live-Q™, software which helps medical experts to remain constantly in touch with pathologists for real time and result driven consultations. “Working with Mikroscan enables us to combine our respective strengths and expertise to deliver high-performance pathology and physician collaboration solutions to some of the world’s leading healthcare organizations and labs,” said Lâle White, CEO of XIFIN.

XIFIN ProNet drives clinical evaluation, consultation and planned treatment while linking image silos among enterprises. Also, this collaboration network provides the medium for exchange and organizing important healthcare images, data and reports of patients and diagnostic information. This is one of several key applications we have recently integrated into the XIFIN HEO platform to meet the evolving needs of pathologists to optimize the delivery and outcome of healthcare,” added White.
