Having more than three decades of expertise in serving technology solutions, Earl M. Furfine, CPA, PMP, CITP is the CEO of 5AM Solutions. He understands that healthcare providers have an abundance of valuable data but they spend significant time fixing and integrating it manually, leaving less than necessary time to analyze it. “Organizations capture clinical trial and observational data from patients and still are challenged to mine the combined data because they are stored in different systems, and frequently unstructured formats” he adds. In order to help such organizations, 5AM Solutions is creating a product which provides a SaaS or on-premise solution to curate, mine and report healthcare data in real-time.
5AM Solutions flagship product— DataZoo—offers structured flexibility in the age of data variabilty. Many biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies partner with 5AM Solutions to create new tools to complement their existing in-house or cloud-based systems. An example of one such strategic partnership is when a multi-billion dollar biotech firm wanted to introduce a revolutionary product. Software would make the difference in downstream adoption, customer use and order fulfillment. Additionally, the firm needed consistent corporate branding and user experience across a variety of tools built organically over time combined with automation of front and back-end systems for excellent customer experiences with highly scientific audiences. The organization partnered with 5AM Solutions to fulfill their requirements.
The whole idea behind introducing a repeatable curation tool is to enable scientists to analyze data in significantly less time by correcting it quickly and allowing them to reuse that process as needed in the future
Alongside delivering the most befitting solutions, 5AM Solutions also continues to implement technology and process that support the customers innovative initiatives. For instance, the company has become Value Added Reseller (VAR) for Basho (Big Data Aggregation and Integration), Qlik (Data Visualization and Integration), and Bromium (Workstation based security encapsulation at the chip level). The firm will also have Amazon Web Services Certifications in place by February 2016. “We continually train our professional staff to meet the needs of our customers and our evolving business,” says Furfine.
In the days to come, 5AM’s goal is to help their partners get the drugs to market faster and safer to increase the quality and duration of patient lives “The whole idea behind introducing a repeatable curation tool is to enable scientists to analyze data in significantly less time by correcting it quickly and allowing them to reuse that process as needed in the future” concludes Furfine.
